We recommend moving your colony into this nest once it has at least 10 workers. The nesting area consists of two separate sections. The hydrated Ytong chamber provides ideal humidity for brood development, while the dry chamber allows ants to choose the conditions that best suit their needs. Together, these environments closely mimic the natural nesting conditions many ant species seek.

The Ytong chamber is easily hydrated through the refill port located at the rear of the nest, allowing moisture to be added without disturbing the colony.

Two tunnels connect the nest directly to the spacious outworld, giving your ants plenty of room to forage, store food, and dispose of waste. Both the ventilated outer lid and the removable inner lid lift off easily, making feeding and cleaning quick and convenient. The inner lid also creates a safe area for applying an anti-escape barrier such as Fluon without contaminating the nesting chambers.

A standard test tube serves as a large water reservoir, allowing the colony to drink through a dedicated access hole inside the nest.
