It’s finally here: the Mini Outworld V2! Designed by Daniel Onneweer and built on the foundation of the original Mini Outworld, the V2 combines a compact footprint with improved flexibility, easier expansion, and a range of new design features.

Whether you're starting your first colony or managing multiple colonies, the Mini Outworld V2 provides an easy way to move beyond keeping ants in a standalone test tube while still allowing the colony to remain inside its familiar founding tube.

Important Test Tube Compatibility

The test tube connections on the Mini Outworld V2 are specifically designed for the
Esthetic Ants 16 × 150 mm plastic test tubes.

Other 16 mm test tubes, including many glass test tubes, may have slightly different outside diameters and are not guaranteed to fit, even when advertised as the same nominal size.

If you want to use a different brand or type of test tube, you will need to modify the connection yourself or use a suitable external adapter. Compatibility with third-party test tubes cannot be guaranteed.

Four Test Tube Connections

The V2 features four test tube slots, giving you plenty of flexibility as your colony develops. Use one tube for a small colony, add additional tubes for water or nesting space, or change the configuration as the colony grows.

Unused connections can simply be closed using the included close connectors.

Easy Expansion

Need more space? The Mini Outworld V2 includes a connection compatible with 10 mm tubing, allowing you to connect an additional nest, outworld, or other compatible Esthetic Ants products.

Multiple Mini Outworld V2 units can also be connected side-by-side using our optional double connectors, sold separately. This provides even more possibilities for creating modular setups or managing multiple connected spaces.

Easy Feeding and Maintenance

The removable lid provides convenient access to the entire outworld for feeding and cleaning. It also makes applying an anti-escape barrier such as Fluon quick and easy.

The Mini Outworld V2 arrives fully preassembled, so there is no assembly, protective film, or preparation required. Simply configure the connections you need, insert your compatible test tube, and you're ready to go.

Test tubes are not included. The integrated test tube connections are designed specifically for Esthetic Ants 16 × 150 mm plastic test tubes. Third-party plastic or glass test tubes may not fit without modification or an external adapter.
