The Large Wooden Ant Nest is carved from natural Java Plum wood, giving established colonies a spacious, naturalistic home with room to grow into. The warm, solid wood gives this nest a look and feel that's completely different from acrylic or Ytong setups, while still being easy to maintain.

Multiple 9.5 mm entrance holes lead into chambers carved 10 mm deep directly into the wood, creating a layout that mimics how ants naturally excavate their nests. Java Plum is a dense, durable hardwood that holds its shape well over time and only gets more character as it ages.

The nest connects directly to standard 10 mm tubing, so it's easy to link up to an outworld or the rest of your ant-keeping setup.

Please note: because this nest is made from natural wood, the height can vary slightly from piece to piece due to natural differences in wood thickness.

Unlike many of our other ant nests, this model was not designed or manufactured by Esthetic Ants. It is sourced from one of our Asian manufacturing partners and was selected because we believe it offers a practical and affordable setup for larger ant species. We always aim to be transparent about the products we sell, so we want to make this distinction clear. The nest has been inspected and tested by us before being added to our range.
